Squaw Peak

June 30, 2017

Looking north toward Mount Timpanogos from Squaw Peak.

Starting Point:  Rock Canyon Trail head

Distance: 7.4 miles round-trip

Elevation Gain: Approx. 2,700 ft.

Difficulty: Hard

Squaw Peak is a beautiful run up through Rock Canyon that can be done year-round. You will climb up Rock Canyon along side a beautiful river for approximately 1.5 miles where you will take a single-track trail to the north that will take you up through a beautiful forested trail. to beautiful meadows and up to the summit. The trail up Rock Canyon is very rocky and heading up toward Squaw Peak is very steep. This is one of our favorite locations for some quick vert training runs.
